Catch bad FIRMS codes before you file
Validate the FIRMS code on an entry, in-bond or location-of-goods record against its port and intended use before it goes to ACE.
The problem
- A wrong or deleted FIRMS code gets the filing rejected or the cargo held, and someone re-keys it under deadline.
- Checking by hand means opening the CBP list, finding the code, and remembering which facility types fit which filing.
How FIRMSapi helps
Validate before transmit
Send the code, the port on the filing and the intended use (warehouse entry, FTZ admission, exam site, location of goods). The response lists every check that passed, any that failed, and the ones no public data can settle, such as bond status.
Resolve what the paperwork says
Arrival notices say "Maher" or "PNCT", not E430. Fuzzy search turns the free-text terminal name into candidate codes ranked by match.
Batch the morning queue
On Pro, validate a whole day of filings in one request.
Try it
Test keys return fixture data and are free on every plan. Endpoints for this use case:
validate, search, batch.
